Show Notes:
R: Hi everyone…And here we are…Celebrating what people love to do creatively… I’m Rod Jones
I: And I’m Inci Jones…Welcome to the Thought Row podcast. We invite you to subscribe wherever you listen. We are available virtually anywhere you listen to your podcasts.
R: No matter what you do creatively this is the podcast for you.
Inci, what are we discussing today?
I: Today we’re going to be speaking with Jennifer Moore Ti – Mov- Ska about her journey from super model to super artist.
R: This is going to be really interesting because it reminds me of our early life together. But we’ll talk more about that later. Let’s start with your quote Inci.
I: Okay…Our quote this week – Each person must live their life as a model for others. Rosa Parks
Discuss –
I: Ok…it’s now time for our new segment which is…Rod’s Motivational Moment…what do you have for us today?
R: No matter how old you are there will always be changes taking place in your life. Be receptive and find the joy in each.
Discuss
I: Rod you mentioned our early life together.
R: You mean how we met?
I: Yes, and even though that was quite a few years ago, it’s still very fresh in my mind. It almost seems like yesterday.
R: I’m glad to hear that, because I feel the same way. Why don’t you start by saying where we actually met.
I: I met you in your photography studio when I was sent to you by my agent for a go-see.
R: Lucky for me…I remember that very day…you were hired for a job we were working on. And it was probably over a year before we actually started dating.
I: You were a photographer, a commercial photographer that photographed a lot of fashion.
R: Yes, I was very lucky. I ran my studios for close to 20 years and had the opportunity to photograph top models, celebrities, a president, and a whole lot of other famous people. Along with many bread and butter jobs like plant facilities, electronics, equipment of all kinds for brochures, annual reports, food and furniture. Which is pretty typical of a commercial photographer.
I: During that time I not only modeled for you, but I had the opportunity to be photographed for different ad campaigns, as well as beauty products. I even had the opportunity to audition for a soap opera General Hospital. The role ultimately went to Demi Moore because she looked a little more streetwise. Which definitely wasn’t me at the time.
R: Yes, and actually I never really fell in love with you because of your looks. You just seemed to be perfect in your compatibility with me, and share many wonderful experiences of life together.
I: That is so sweet of you to say. And you are right…we have had and are still having wonderful and exciting life experiences together.
R: Well most of our friends know that we are not only husband and wife, but we are best friends. And I have to share that we are generally gabbing to each other virtually every minute of the day. And sometimes if we wake up at night we will start a conversation.
I: Usually it’s a little more one-sided because I am literally in a deep sleep when you wake me up. I attribute that to being the twins – the gemini and they can’t stop talking.
R: Actually, I’m really quite shy. But people are very interesting, especially when you get to know them.
I: I hear you say that about being shy…but I don’t think you’re shy. You just need a minute to engage in the conversation.
R: Well enough about us…
I: Okay, it’s time to talk to our guest Jennifer today. She’s been living life to the fullest and continues to explore and have fun with life.
Interview starts
R: Jennifer welcome to the Thought Row Podcast, both Inci and I have been really looking forward to chatting with you today.
I: Hi Jennifer, so good to have you with us today.
R: Jennifer…I met you through Instagram and have been following your inspirational posts for a while now. And I always appreciate your thoughtful comments on my posts.
I: It’s always good to end up chatting with someone we have connected with through social media.
R: Before we move on to our interview, we always like to ask our guests what they had for breakfast.
I: Our guest Jennifer is talking to us from Switzerland today. The pictures you post on Instagram show the beautiful scenery of the mountains that seem to be surrounding you… and the valleys below. Tell us about this breathtaking place you live in.
Discuss
R: We know you were a fashion model in NY and Paris and a few other international cities. Tell us about your life as a fashion model.
Discuss
I: I know from my own experience, when you are a model you think creatively. Which sets the stage for a life of creative adventures. When you were modeling did you ever think about becoming an artist?
R: As a model, you’ve had the opportunity to meet many interesting people. Is there any one person that stands out to you? And that you felt was a mentor?
I: When did you decide you no longer wanted to be a fashion model?
R: You’ve lived in several different countries from around the world. Where are you originally from? And what was your favorite place to be?
I: Every country we spend time in seems to leave us with special memories. Share with us some of your favorite memories.
R: You seem to have successfully embraced the different chapters in your life. What is your philosophy on gracefully transitioning from one to another?
I: From super model to super artist…both very exciting forms of creativity. Could you ever have predicted you would go from fashion model to artist?
R: We always like to say we “We believe everyone is creative”, and you certainly are one of those creative people. But can you bake a cake?
I: We know you lived in Poland, tell us about that experience.
Discuss
R: How did you ultimately end up living in the Alps?
Discuss
I: Could you share with us your artistic style of painting and what you find most rewarding about painting?
R: You have posted quite a few photographs of the magnificent scenery from your studio windows. I know I would be personally distracted, especially looking at those Alpen sunsets and sunrises. How do you turn away from that and focus on your canvases?
R: What is your creative day like?
I: Out of all the exciting places you’ve lived and all of the exciting career experiences, what would you consider to be the best time you ever had?
R: Where do you see yourself in five years?
I: Ok so now we’re going to ask you a question that we ask our guests. If you could sit on a park bench and chat with anyone from the past, who would it be?
R: What do you most want to be remembered by?
I: Jennifer, you are such an inspiration and a very positive person.
R: I agree with Inci, you have been very candid in discussing the different aspects of living your life.
I: Just want to let everyone know…if you want to know more about Jennifer Moore Tymowska and her artwork we will have links in the show notes and also under the show guest tab on Thought Row podcast.com. So everyone can learn more about her and connect with her on social media.
